About the event
Emerse yourself in a bushcraft experience where you will learn primitive skills linked closely to Aboriginal bushcraft - Edale
Take away a deeper understanding of the natural world. Learn about Primitive skills first hand in engaging workshops.
We will embark on a journey taking to the Kinder platue - Along the way you'll learn about natural navigation, tracking and local wildlife.
Over the three days we invite you to stay in our camp - Located at the heart of Edale village, this course is a unique way to experience the Wild Peak District and descover the world of Bushcraft.
Over three days you'll be staying in a Tipi lodge, engaging in bushcraft workshops and exploring the wonderful kinder Scout
What's coverd:
° Setting up a simplistic camp
° Primitive fire lighting using friction - Bow drills & hand drill (Make and take away your own set)
°Fire by sparks using flint and pyrite
°tinder collection
°Amadu leather making tinder collection
° Fire safety - regulations, permissions and the law
°Back country cooking including outdoor recipies and trail food
° Woodcraft activitys - from matirials selection to carving techniques (finished with your own spoon)
°Natural clay pottery workshop including candle making.
°pinch pot mesolithic style clay work
°A simplistic journey that takes you on a hike up Kinder scout. Plenty of stopping along the way looking at natural navigation, wild foods and tracks

°introduction to tracking, the last night before dusk, we will head off to an active badger set and lay in wait for the native nocteral badger.
Small group size with a maximum of 10 guests to ensure we create a subtle atmosphere in the woods, and you get a very high interaction time with the instructor.
A full kit list is given out on booking, but you won't need much more than a sleeping bag and warm clothing.
This course is fully catered starting with the evening meal on the Friday, and finishing with lunch on Sunday. Please inform us of any dietary requirements, we're happy to cater to any needs.
Due the involved nature of this course, we don't feel its suitable to under 16 year olds (please ask if you have any questions)
