"I founded Into Wilderness to share my passion for nature and bushcraft with others. Wild places and our interactions with nature give us insights to our own relationship to it.
Aboriginal British Bushcraft covers a wide spectrum of topics from fire lighting to foraging. I believe that our connection to nature should be able to guide us through the forest and our senses and bushcraft skill sets used correctly can lead us on dramatic adventures into wild places.
As a bushcraft professional, I consider myself an indigenous person, born to the land and ever learning what i can from nature itself, my beliefs are founded on instinct to connect with nature. interestingly, the concept of animism falls close to my heart. To this extent, I endeavor to share my skills and passion for bushcraft and nature with others.
A journey through the wild is an adventure in itself, using minimal modern gear and relying on primitive skills and motivation is what ultimately matters.
We practice the way of the traveler, a light footed approach to bushcraft, which allows us to move through the forest easily and apply the knowledge and wisdom used by our early ancestors. ​At Into Wilderness we encourage our clients to develop their relationship with the natural world through their life way - indignation comes through a pathway of learning and connecting with nature. The bushcraft that we practice is that of the traveller. There is a simplicity that comes with exploring the outdoors. We teach skills that we have learned through experiences here in the British isles as well as what indigenous people around the world have taught us. We teach a realistic approach to bushcraft, skills that get used daily in nature as well as knowledge of the land that will let you feel at ease with what nature provides and not the modern gadgets contained within your backpack. Rekindling a wide breadth of knowledge in the world of bushcraft.
